The Sage 2017 download should have created a Sage 2017.0 file under a Sage folder off the c drive you might have Sage 2017.1. Or Sage 2017.2 depending on what the service release was when you downloaded it. In order to read your company data on the new computer the Sage 2017 service release must be the same. Open Sage in your existing computer, help, about Sage and look at the build number which is 2 digits then .0,1 or2. If it’s .2, you need to install theSage 2017.2. If you do not have that service release you can look in your datapath for a folder called updates. Open updates and verify you have a 2017.2 update. If you have all the install files then you can just copy from one computer to the new computer the Sage 2017 and the 2017 service release too. Make a backup of your data and copy that too. Once you install Sage, go to file, restore, browse to you backup and restore to a new company both company and forms. If you need assistance please call Kim at 800 303-7770.
