I'm trying to connect SSMS to my Sage 50 database using ODBC so that I can run SQL queries to join my Sage 50 data to an outside db.. I've successfully set up the ODBC connection using the instructions noted here: https://partners.sagenorthamerica.com/irj/go/km/docs/sageKM/Peachtree%20by%20Sage/Assets/25514.pdf The SSMS tools are running on my desktop, and the Sage 50 db is on a server on my LAN. The ODBC drivers test fine when I run the connection test from the Data Source setup on my desktop. I believe that the proper way to access the Sage 50 db from SSMS is by setting up a Linked Server, but here is where I'm failing: does anyone know how to properly configure the linked server? See the attached screen cap to see what I'm talking about, but its basically: Provider (I'm assuming I have that right) Product name Data source Provider string Location Catalog Any help would be appreciated!! -djm
