Starting next month, the new blog Support Insights will be written by three customer support analysts: John Parr, Melissa Estrella, and John Selemani. As a way of introducing ourselves, each of us wrote a short bio: From John Parr: Hello everyone, my name is John Parr. I have been working at Sage with the Sage 50 Accounting product (formerly Peachtree) for 17 years. I have been in customer support for nine of those years, and designed features for the product the other eight years. My educational background is in writing and education, so I'm very excited to be writing about Sage 50 Accounting for our blog. Fun fact: When the product was still called Peachtree Accounting, it was a software Easter egg tradition to name the sample data after employees. Many years ago the practice was stopped and the existing names were changed, but my entry is still in the Vendors list in Bellwether Garden Supply. The “Paris Brothers Tree Surgeons” used to be called “Parr Brothers Tree Surgeons.” It’s also not entirely fictitious. For me, Sage is a family business. My brother Jason also works at Sage in customer support. From Melissa Estrella: My name is Melissa Estrella. I have been supporting Sage 50 – U.S. since 2007. Currently, I am part of the installations team and I am cross-trained in several of our other programs. I am excited to be part of our social support team, because I really enjoy technology and how much social media has evolved into what it is today.  I think that it is really amazing that we are able to assist our customers in a whole new way. I have learned a lot about Sage 50 – U.S. Edition throughout the years. I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences with you, and provide you with some tips and tricks that might make your day a little easier . From John Selemani: I joined Sage family in 2007, and started as an analyst taking support calls. I have been supporting different versions from Peachtree 2007 until now Sage 50 —U.S. Edition. We may have communicated via chat, e-mail, or Sage City or if you ever called in Sage 50 support lines before. Currently my time is divided between inbound support calls, social media support, Sage City, and now helping to write the Sage 50—U.S. Edition blog. With Sage 50 2014 approaching its end of life in Nov 30, 2014, I do recommend to keep up-to date by installing current supported version i.e. Sage 50 2015. You can download from this link , and install starting from Server computer or where Sage 50 data is stored. Also you can log into Your account to get download links and product serial numbers. Please feel free to post your topic suggestions and comments, and let us know what you would like to see in the blog.
