I'm getting a .Net framework error (I'm running the v4.5 of the Framework since I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. We are using Sage 50 Accounting U.S. Edition (2013 year) and will be upgrading to 2015 in a month. This error isn't actually with Sage 50 itself, butt more with the Sage Exchange Payment Solutions portal software that is an "add-in" for Sage 50 for processing credit cards. It worked fine on my Windows 7 Pro computer (also with .Net Framework 4.5 installed) but for some reason I'm getting this error. The add-in still loads but I have to dismiss this error a few times. It also cannot check for updates, so I'm stuck using a version that is not the latest version (although it does still work anyway). It does say in the error message (see the attached picture) that user has refused access privileges, which I guess may be true since I run my computer as a standard user, and not an Admin. But since Sage Payments loads when Windows starts automatically, I don't have control over this, other than running my computer as an Admin user. On my Win7 machine, I ran as a standard user and didn't have this issue. Lastly, I'm sure it's related to Sage 50 or the Sage Payment add-in, because I don't get this error with any other software I have on my machine, and I have a lot of programs that use the .Net 4.xx framework (including Visual Studio 2012) and all run without error, except for this add-in for Sage 50. My only explanation is that Sage 50 2013 came out right as Windows 8 was being released, so it was probably never fully supported on Windows 8. I'm thinking that when we do go to Sage 50 2015, this shouldn't be a problem. it just is a hassle since I have to have a separate Windows 7 computer just to process credit cards. Everything else in Sage 50 2013 runs fine on Windows 8.1. Ideas or suggestions?
