It sounds like your inventory is FIFO (First In, First Out) If that is the case, and not Average, believe it or not, Sage 50 knows how many pieces you purchased at each price and will use that information when calculating the value of your inventory. Your price level 2 is apparently based on LAST COST. It last cost goes down, the selling price goes down. Change the type of calculation and this will not happen. FYI the "Inventory management" tab is your friend. You can use this to look up prices paid in the past. You may need to use this to reset your price level 2 price when you change the way it is being calculated.
