I bet you have a recurred journal entry that is broken. You would see it in the general ledger but not in the bank rec screen. But it actually is cleared in the bank rec calculation. You would be able to tell if it was factored into the bank rec calc if you uncleared everything and blanked out the statement ending balance. If The out of balance doesn't match your bank statement beginning balance and its off by the recurred transaction that is your issue. I have seen this issue a number of times. You would have entered the entry(s) again and cleared it and that is why it is being double counted. To fix the recurring entries you can copy the entry and recur it out and then delete the original entry and you should see it in the bank rec screen. I don't know for sure what breaks them by I speculate that if in the previous month you check it as cleared and then edit the entry it breaks it from showing in the bank rec in the following months.
