Forum Post: RE: When will Sage fix support for Outlook 64 bit?

I don't understand why I should downgrade my office to match some outdated spec. of a program we pay good money for!  That is unacceptable!  This problem has been with this software for years.  Let's take Adobe Reader, a free program, I can go to file and select email and it knows how to talk to the 64 bit outlook and make an email mail message!  That tells me "it's not hard to do" and my conclusion is Sage is lazy! MS has 64 bit OS, it comes pre-installed.  Most 32 bit programs work fine, even if the developer is too lazy to check a box in the compiler and write 64 bit code.  It's not like the concept of 64 bit just came out!  It's been here a while! So Sage needs to "catchup" with technology and fix what I consider to be a bug.  I have filed a support case, we have unlimited support, and I will continue to complain about this until it is fixed! I have the email writer installed, but when I print to it, it does nothing, I don't get a prompt to name and save the file!  So I guess it's 3rd party programs for me.  I have tested Quickbooks and this is NOT a problem for them.  Therefore I will recommend we finally switch next year when our contract runs out. Shame on you Sage, you charge too much for old software!
