I am attempting to help a friend of mine by installing his current version of Sage (formerly Peachtree, Complete Accounting 2010) from a failing computer to a new computer. I have run into a myriad of issues: 1.) The only version I can seem to find to download is a Trial Version, which will not allow me to register with a product key (Help Peachtree Registration is grayed out.) Does anyone know where I can get a version that will allow me to complete the Registration process? 2.) Although I have access to the Serial Number of the original installation (as well as the Registration Number, and Company ID), none of these are in the right format to register the Trial Version I have downloaded currently. I am unsure if there is some sort of number I am missing, but the Serial Number does not allow me to activate. 3.) I was told (by Sage Support) that Peachtree Complete Accounting 2010 was NOT compatible with Windows 7. Has any one else encountered issues like this? The person I am assisting has actually used this software on a computer running Windows 7 for months without issue until the hardware in the computer failed, hence why I am trying to migrate his Accounting Software to a new one. Does anyone have any insight they could provide so I could maybe get somewhere and stop ripping my hair out? I would really appreciate it.
