If they are using payroll, then they must have a Business Care plan. You can call Sage support or you can connect with chat by going to the Help menu > Customer Support & Service > Live Chat Assistance. You don't need to be logged into a company to get to that menu. Many Sage 50 Certified Consultants and Solution Providers can also help you retrieve a password. When user names and passwords are set up, a file will be created in the folder that holds that company's data. The file name will match the user name, with a .CAX extension. Finding that could give you a clue to what user and password was accidentally set up. You may also want to read knowledgbase article ID:10130 .
