Hi, My PC was hit with the Cryptowall 3.0 virus which has caused a lot of damage (yes, I was running up to date security software...thanks Vipre!). After I cleaned up the virus, I'm left with a lot of damage to my applications. As of now, I'm unable to open the Sage 50 application. I've tried a repair, but that doesn't seem to help. My last backup I have is from June. Looking at my data files, it looks like the folder that holds the .dat files was not infected. Here's my question: I'm planning on rebuilding the PC. Does anyone have ideas of how I could recover my data from the .dat files? Any documentation that I read talks about making a backup. Currently I can't access the application to make a backup. Any advice on how to proceed? I'd prefer to be able to access the .dat files vs. reverting back to my June backup. Thanks!
