You've said you have sales transactions and cash receipts -- you would use the Sales Journal and Cash Receipts Journal respectively to import these items and the Sales should be imported first. Depending on how the transactions are formatted when they are exported you will most likely have to modify the layout (rearrange, add or remove columns of data) and rearrange the import "map" in order for the file to import correctly.
